 20081220 Obama Trillion Dollar Spend for Infrastructure is a SHAM. Just imagine what a trillion dollars spent on 100 new nuclear plants, using American natural gas to fuel commercial vehicles, improving American technology to use MORE American coal would do to the economy? The answer is lower the national debt, permanent job creation, a big multiple in the velocity of money in America by money staying in America instead of importing 65% of our crude oil, and so on. The biggest gain to building energy infrastructure is to provide national security by putting a stop to the insanity of shipping money to Russia, Iran, Venezuela, etc. The Obama plan will make present day America and the future of America dependent on foreign countries for energy. The Obama marriage with corn ethanol is obvious evidence of the lie to make America energy dependent; -you don’t pump millions into a proven failure (check it out: after a 50% gov subsidy, the price of non-ethanol gasoline is only 5 cents more than corn ethanol gas; and that does not include food inflation caused by using corn for ethanol).
 But no, let’s build Obama bridges and roads (which has been well funded for years & the money generally corrupted by special interest). Roads and bridges do ZERO for permanent job creation; much less provide the ENERGY necessary to allow the American economy to prosper for now and the future.
 But no, let’s spend like every president for the last 50 years on the development of alternative energy. I don’t mind spending a proportion on alternative energy research; but do it the right way: Give a 1% to 20% tax credit on the actual final price of each new car sale that provides a vehicle that gets over 30mpg city and highway with no exceptions for the damn pickup truck or suv or what the heck ever the gov always gives a free ride to support the UAW. The 1% credit could be for 30mpg, and the 20% credit would be for 50mpg. Obviously, the electric vehicle would come in at the 20% credit. And guess what, you turn free enterprise loose to let the best company win; the environment wins; and America is IMMEDIATELY on the road to being a real country instead of a consuming socialist country at the mercy of Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.
 Obama is obsessed with getting the legacy of saving America with bridges and roads. All of America will never recover from this Obama disease. Printing money and throwing it at roads and bridges on top of the gov corruption already in building roads and bridges is a very pathetic approach to get good print in a history book.
The Obama obsession will not bankrupt the future of America’s kids. The Obama Obsession With Roads and Bridges will bankrupt you folks who are reading this column.

20081219 Bless the Few Americans that Stand for America vs the UAW
Larry Cudlow is in the disappearing crowd that stands for America. Steve Leisman seems to be on CNBC 24/7; and few talk louder, longer, and with less real information. Leisman is a total idiot part of the time; and severally controlled by the UAW the rest of the time. Yes, the automakers are suffering along with the rest of the economy –duhhhhh. There are plenty of businesses suffering and going bankrupt and firing employees that WILL NOT get any gov money to keep them going. But, the power of the UAW to control Washington was overwhelming and gov gave in; and the Obama change team will soon be shoveling more money in to keep the gold plated union health and other benefits running along. The idea of Bush giving money to the UAW without any deadline to come to parity with other car manufacturers in the US (who are making a profit without gov money in spite of the economic conditions) is just plain anti-American.
 For those that say zillions of jobs would have been lost:  Jobs should be lost. This is a business. A car is the last thing someone will buy when money is short. If you are not selling cars; you need to cut jobs. But GM can’t cut jobs without paying close to full wage and benefits and health care; -which is different than the rest of the car industry anywhere in the world. The fear tactic used by the UAW was a lie to get what they want –nothing new here. I would love for American car makers to compete and make great cars; but the UAW control of our spineless politicians has killed America’s ability to compete with any other carmaker in the world without tax money to support UAW benefits.

20081215 Supreme Court Rules Light Cigarette Smoking Lawsuits can go forward. With all of the federal and state gov deals to make tobacco immune from lawsuits; here one other arm of the gov is saying ok to some lawsuits. For the supreme court to allow some tobacco lawsuits while the other part of gov is cutting deals to allow immunity is absurd.  WHY not go to the heart of the problem and ban smoking?! Look, if the gov cared about America, they would save us this sucking up of big tobacco and taking up a lot of court time to benefit lawyers -by banning tobacco in America. Tobacco should be banned in the US saving lives, Medicare, social security, health care; and cutting out harassment of fellow Americans.

20081213 Airheads on Fox
This morning on Fox is typical of airhead media talking heads. With the exception of Steve Forbes; the group said things like drilling would be good for Detroit. Drilling would be good because it immediately affects the price of food, transportation, fertilizer, heating of homes, running every business in America, …. But you see the media and Obama dems have preached environmental crap for so long that American energy is a bad word. Yet every job in America is based on low-cost energy.
 One of the airheads on Fox said drilling would keep gasoline cheap and people could continue to buy GM’s gas guzzlers; –which is ignorance on display. There is nothing that will stop long term price of fossil fuels going up. We could open up and spend dollars for American drilling; which would keep American dollars circulating for American jobs –instead of importing 70% of our crude oil. Can you just imagine the job creation if America opened up it’s drilling and sent the 700 billion bailout money to oil and gas development of American resources?! This would have to be matched by consumption laws of NO vehicles getting less than 30mpg highway or city; which is EASILY accomplished with hybrid electric technology that we have today. Without consumption laws; carmakers will continue floundering around not knowing what to build; and the Obama dems remain clueless. The CAFÉ standards for gas mileage are like fleet averages and moving from 12mpg city to 15mpg city over the next 20 years; -the politicians responsible should be tarred and feathered and hung from the nearest tree.
 The obvious control of Obama dems by unions spell sooner or later bankruptcy for America: and I just hope the American public remembers the names of the Obama dems who are responsible for this obsession with power and socialism. Good luck to America now being controlled by the corruption in Chicago Illinois. To save travel time, the white house should be moved to where their bosses are in Illinois and Michigan.

20081212 Gettelfinger Skewing the Truth. Gettelfinger says non-partisan when a dem congress and the white house get together to send car makers bail out money. Folks, non-partisan is when you bring in the republican senators that stand for free enterprise America into the discussion.
Gettelfinger says Tennessee paid millions to get a foreign carmaker to locate there. Gettelfinger did not tell you that in EVERY case States and local gov paid millions to locate GM, Chrysler, and Ford plants in their regions. So you decide if Gettelfinger is lying -or just skewing the truth. Frankly I call it the worst kind of lying when you tell just enough of the truth to convince America you’re the good guy; when in reality -you are the problem.
 You know, just common sense, if recession goes on thru 2009 -no one is going to buy a  new car. Foreign car makers in the US will adjust work force and benefits accordingly; but American car makers can only adjust what the union negioates.
 Gettelfinger says Senator Corker has the gaw to bring wages to the table, claiming Toyota says their wages are higher than GM. Here goes skewing of the truth again. All depends on how much of the union benefits that you add in to the wages. One thing we know as truth: The structure of the big 3 is a failed structure based on dealing with the unions.

20081212 UAW is ARROGANT AND STUPID! Good Lord, all Senator Corker wanted after settling all the other issues was a date in 2009 to be competitive on a wage benefit basis with other car manufacturers in America & the UAW says NO!  Of course, all the automakers have to do is stay afloat until Obama gets in office since Obama is controlled by unions and will give them anything they ask for -any time -from now on.
 Of course there appears to be an under the table deal with dems and the white house to use tarp money since the UAW is not concerned. And, if this tarp money does not follow the guidelines that Senator Corker was asking for; then there goes your tax dollar into a black hole.
 You Americans sure elected the wrong guy. McCain would have spent gov money on getting America off of foreign oil with nuclear plants, opening up drilling areas for American oil and gas, natural gas for commercial vehicles, etc. Obama is oriented to throwing billions into welfare plans, alternate energy that is proven to not work without tax subsidy such as corn ethanol (the non-ethanol better gasoline is selling for 5 cents more a gallon than the ethanol gas subsidized at 50%), etc. Obama taxing the folks that create new jobs in America is not very bright; since the biggest problem in the American economy is the unemployment number going up!!!

20081210 Detroit Money Give A Way a Great Plan!!
 How can anyone be against using taxpayer money to pay for all the gold plated health care, severance pay, and retirement costs that the unions have paid the democrats for the last several decades? I think union members have every right to smoke on the assembly line while they are making a car, are you kidding me? We all need to ignore the fact that smoking is the cause of 1 out of 3 hospital rooms being taken up; or 400,000 deaths every year in the US!
 A government czar over-looking the auto industry is smart. Let us appointment a democrat like Kanjorski that believes in socialism and sleeps with unions to be this auto czar; -that surely would get a concession out of the union –what a joke!
 Senator Shelby is one of the last American heroes in Washington; -the last to stand up against democrat gov control and ownership.
 Interesting that Obama says he smokes; yet the media never showed him with a smoke.  Sarah Palin had more media sneaking around than the JFK assassination –and never came up with jack. Kinda makes one wonder what else we don’t know about Obama.
 Obama paling around with Gore is proof of Obama’s ignorance on energy. Gore never knew anything about energy, never once offered up anything but lies and bad information. The environment problems cannot be solved without looking at real facts on energy. Obama has made zero attempt to learn anything about energy. Gore made his home movie with jacked up skewed lies and a bashing of America while China is starting up 500 new coal plants over a 7 year period. In Gore’s movie he mentions his sister dying of lung cancer from smoking. Did Gore fight for out-lawing smoking in America? No, that would hurt the Democrat deals with big tobacco. Instead Gore ran his campaign of lies about the environment. If Gore or Obama knew anything about energy; they would be saying nuclear plants with more research for disposal, keep on improving our coal plants, natural gas for commercial transportation, B Pickens wind generation plan, ….., along with the development of the Obama Gore magic solar panel vision.
 If an oil and gas company was going bankrupt; or having to cut half of their work force; and many of them are. Do you think there would be a fire in the theatre running to bail them out by the Democrats? And all oil and gas companies do is heat 93% of the homes in America and run 100% of the businesses in America. If Wal-Mart was going bankrupt or had to lay off half their employees, would the socialist dems that sleep with unions be running around in circles to send Wal-Mart 50 billion? And all Wal-Mart does is provide food at a lower cost than anyone else in the world. Food, tooth paste, and stuff you use everyday. The automaker provides a car which most of us would be better off without, none of us have to have; and none of us may have the job to buy one.
 And why is it that all of the foreign companies manufacturing cars in America are able to make a better car cheaper? Unions. The union was once a proud and great bunch; but now with global competition on the table, a union only spells death for a company; -or control of enough dems in Washington to send them taxpayer money to support their gold plated benefits. And why not, the politicians all get gold plated benefits payed for by the taxpayer.
 By the way, an update on the gov handling of housing: over 50% of all re-financed houses are back in default. The problem created in housing is one of 25 years of gov forcing loans to folks that can’t pay; and all kinds of failed gov regulation by mainly democrats that prefer socialism to capitalism. Free market capitalism made America; and the lies by democrats as to who is responsible for the financial meltdown is just liberal media. The solution is not throwing tax money on the fire; but jobs. Not jobs to build a damn Obama bridge; but energy jobs that would keep American dollars in America.

20081204  Why Obama Dems Will Bankrupt America
Here is the number 1 reason the Obama dems will bankrupt America:  Obama dems have the plan to place additional taxes on oil and gas. An additional tax on oil and gas, coal, …., is strictly a higher cost sent to the consumer when he pays his heating bill; or electric bill, or buys anything (everything is made from and is transported because of oil and gas). It is impossible for oil and gas to expand exploration and research when More money gets funneled off to the black hole of gov.
 Every dollar of new American energy created lowers the national debt and increases the velocity of money in the US. This would get America running again. And when oil goes up: fine, then the money stays in America. Folks, this is not hard stuff.
 Research of alt energy should continue of course; but a smart leadership in America would get all over the resources that are American; -and are Proven; and that will help all of America today!
 Obama does not get it; the American economy runs on energy. Everything you touch today is a product of energy; and I mean fossil fuel, nuclear, and coal. Alternative fuel has it’s place; but now is not the time. Now is the time to create jobs that mean something. Now is the time to create jobs in American Energy.
 Obama has zero advisors that are ceo’s of big oil. Some of these ceo’s are pretty smart guys with an understanding of energy. Any Obama team that does not have representation from energy (some one that actually is working in energy, – not political economist airheads) is damn worthless. Every Obama team should have a representative from each respective energy company that knows energy and can talk factual statistics and dollars in oil and gas, nuclear, and coal. An energy job feeds the economy in an exponential fashion: jobs created by the energy jobs Plus the multiple of jobs created by low-cost American energy. Folks, there is no energy created by building a damn highway or a bridge. By the way, where does all the fuel tax, bond money, state and local bonds, …. for building roads and bridges – where the h did that money go? Why do we need more money spent on roads when the money should already have been there? And a bridge produces zero energy. A natural gas job not only provides energy and an avalanche of job creation; but reduces the $700 billion dollars going out of the US to foreign countries. If one cared about the future of our kids, 100 nuclear plants would be built in the next 3 years. Disposal of nuclear has got to be resolved in any case: hospitals and industry have radioactive product going every direction 24/7 in America every day. Radioactive handling is a part of our life; and is not going away. Nuclear plants pave the way for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. Throwing money away on magic solar panels has been tried by every administration for 50 years and failed. Nat gas for commercial vehicles is proven; and is all American energy. All areas of the US should be opened up for exploration to decide envir impacts and proven reserves; so America would actually know the most productive places to drill with the least envir impact.
 By the way, where do you think the oil used to build a road or the steel (made from metallurgical coal) used to build a bridge comes from? America imports 65% of our crude oil – you are not solving the energy dependence issue Obama, -you are making the situation unrepeatable!

Dodd and co-harts should be voted out.
Vote for sen Dodd if you like Washington controlled by lobbyists, unions, and a voting record of gov control and ownership. Dodd made comments at the car bailout hearings saying all the problems of the US economy were due to Wall Street and Banks and the Bush administration. Dodd, you happen to be a senator with the power to make laws, Just Where were you during the last 25 years as the housing bubble was being set up by lousy loan practices? Dodd’s shaping laws to create the housing bubble, taking money from Fannie and Freddie and unions, …. ; I suggest politicians like Dodd are the problem. Dodd is typical of Washington lying for votes.  Well it was lying for votes, now I would say more lying for money and payback. I wish I could use some different language like skewing the truth, or misinformation, but our economy needs to vote the Dodds out of office; and get folks in Washington that can admit mistakes and create solutions.

Terrorist attacks in India, -The Final Word. Terrorists kill a bunch of people and frame Pakistan so that India and Pakistan will kill each other.
And thus, terrorists win one more time. If India and Pakistan happened to wake up and smell the roses; they would join forces and start killing terrorists; -but neither is bright enough for doing what is right.
I still can’t believe the head in the sand reaction to terrorist attacks. In India a swat marine force type operation within minutes would have isolated these cowards (with guns) shooting people (without guns); and the whole thing would have been over in 20 minutes saving many lives and not letting 20 or 30 terrorists escape.  Your choice.
