Sum total of the new tarp program will total $2 Trillion. The FED has been responsible for the foundation that is developing to restore the US economy –a 1$Trillion Obama Peloski Reid pork bill will kill all of the work the Fed has done so far.      JayR

20090130 Ok, velocity of money is what is missing in the US economy that kills jobs. Increase velocity of money and America free enterprise is the best in the world. Why has the velocity of money gone away? Look, if you were playing marbles and you had 100 marbles in 1970 and things were looking good (except the war dems JFK and Lyndon Johnson got America into). But every decade  you give Iran, Venezuela, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, etc. 1 marble in 1970, 3 marbles in 1980, 4 marbles in 1990, 5 marbles in 2000, up to 8 marbles so far in the 2000 to 2010 decade – and you end up with 79 marbles on the playing field -or the velocity of money has been knocked down by 21%. The quickest path to jobs in America is to decrease the importing of crude oil.  A bonus of 20 million to an athlete, or a company representative has the effect of 50% of that money going straight to the gov in taxes, -unless your income is like Warren Buffet & you invest in tax free municipal bonds that build local infrastructure. All of the bonus money immediately runs up the velocity of money in the US creating new jobs and boosting the economy.
 All of the money (21 marbles) paid for importing 70% of US crude oil is in Iran, Venezuela, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq –boosting the velocity of money in those countries.  Now the bad news: Nothing is being done by Obama Reid Peloski to stop this anti-American policy. Obama talking about buying American with his stimulus package =the height of ignorance if not just outright lying! If any infrastructure was built with a dem stimulus –it would require –guess what? Importing of foreign crude oil –you don’t build any infrastructure with a damn solar panel.
 The solution lies in opening up American drilling to decide the best places to drill efficiently, environmentally, and for production; to fast track 50 nuclear plants, to use switchgrass instead of corn for ethanol, to import Brazil ethanol to take advantage of low cost ethanol, research for clean coal so America can use our own coal instead of shipping all of our coal resource to China, use natural gas for commercial vehicles, and other as listed in paragraphs below.

Everyone else is talking about what's in the $825 billion stimulus package, but here's the one thing I want to know: How can we let the government get away with calling it a "stimulus" in the first place?
Let's break down the numbers on this with the help of those non-partisan, radical hate-mongers over at the Congressional Budget Office. According to the CBO, only $26 billion — just over 3 percent — will be spent this year. Another $110 billion — or 13 percent — will be spent next year. Which means that by the time President Obama's term is halfway through, just 16 percent of the money will have been spent. I thought President Obama said this is supposed to be a quick "jolt" to the economy? The president has also billed the stimulus as an investment in America's infrastructure. And if that were true, I'd be all for it. I mean, I-95 here on the East Coast isn't exactly the autobahn. Yet only 3 percent — just $30 billion — of this entire package is dedicated to road and highway spending. Then you have the promise about creating "green jobs" and clean energy. Again, you want to seriously get wind and solar and nuclear power off the ground, I'm in. But this isn't serious. Only 2 percent of the money is earmarked for clean energy and only 1/7th of that will be spent over the next 2 years. The CBO tells us that billions of dollars are going to buy new computers and replace government cars with new alternative fuel vehicles. In all, the money is going to 150 different federal programs — from Amtrak to the TSA — and it's not clear a single new job will be created. America, let's call a spade a spade: This package isn't meant to stimulate the economy, it's meant to reshape it. If President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the progressives really believe that socialism is the best way out of this mess and the best way forward for America, then make the case. Let's debate it and allow the American people to decide.But what they're doing now — using fear to promote long-term changes to the country — is exactly the kind of thing that has led to the biggest deficit of all: The deficit of trust we now have in our leaders.]
 The negligible almost nothing for real infrastructure that creates real jobs is an insult to American business.
 I am a solution guy, please check the next paragraph down for 9 solutions that would correct housing, banking, stock market, etc.  in a heartbeat. The 9 solutions below is where all this $Trillion should have went; instead of welfare, temporary tax credits, bailing out fed/state/local gov, etc.

If you wanted jobs, create confidence, boost Wall Street by 5000 points, etc: 1)Make dividend and capital gains tax breaks permanent 2)Lower corporate tax to compete with the rest of world 3)Easy annual stimulus of $600 billion to the economy if we drill for our own oil 4)Easy annual stimulus of $200 billion to the economy if we use natural gas for commercial vehicles 5)”Free Choice Act” is one of the biggest Obama Peloski Reid lies of all: Does away with the Secret Vote when voting for unions. NOTHING IS MORE ANTI-AMERICAN THAN TAKING AWAY THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN SECRET. UAW using taxpayer money to run the national TV campaign to promote their “Free Choice Act” is money well spent if you are into spitting on the constitution 6)Ban smoking in America: Smoking is responsible for 35% of all hospital rooms being taken up; 400,000 die annually; Medicare and social security would be made solvent, etc. 7)Fast Track 60 nuclear plants to be operating in 5 years to assure the kids of America will have an America 8)Fast Track clean coal technology so America can use our own resources instead of importing crude oil 9)Eliminate corn ethanol gov support which is one of the bigger sleeping with lobbyists for votes going on.  Ok, there are a few.
 No! Obama Peloski Reid are about sleeping with unions, isolationism, welfare, anti-American biz, most of the $Trillion is welfare, a lot of the $Trillion is for bailing out failed local and state gov –instead of local and state cutting back their budget like the rest of America.  Non-Partisan my butt!
 Oh yeah, Fannie and Freddie will get $80 billion or so in 2009 to keep that gov controlled mess running along sucking in taxpayer money. And 100 billion or so in 2009 for the UAW so a few can have gold plated benefits and smoke on the assembly line. How about the $ billions it will cost to the US to give the prisoners of Guat Bay some fair trials and an opportunity to kill a few more Americans? Speaking of Amerian security: Under Bush, there has not been another terrorist attack since 2001 (71/2 years under Bush). Obama is not going to secure the US for the next 4 years because the intelligence gathering network is gettng weaker –not stronger.

 So maybe liberals can stop acting as if the entire nation could at last come together in a "unity of purpose" if only conservatives would stop fomenting "conflict and discord" -- as Obama suggested in his inaugural address. We're not the ones who booed a departing president.]
 The Obama premise was building roads & bridges –which was dumb as wood to begin with. The Obama action is to use 10% of the $Trillion for roads & bridges; and this 10% only to keep alive the fed/state/local construction that was already on the books. There is no worse place to put infrastructure money than in the hands of the inefficient corrupt porky control of fed/state/local gov!
 Transparency of gov and Non-Partisan: Yeah, that is one big lie. The whole $Trillion package has not been made available to republicans or the public –just insiders leaking info bit by bit. This will be the first time in US history a gov control/ownership law will be passed before anyone gets the details.
 Mamby Pamby Obama has given no direction for REAL INFRASTUCTURE as listed in 1 thru 9 above. The cloud over TEMPORARY tax cuts, and MAYBE dividend and capital gain tax hikes, and zero REAL INFRASTRUCTURE makes Obama the most Mamby Pamby politician in Washington.

 Jim Cramer is often really smart and helpful; but his moral superior call on bashing Paulsen is typical Cramer throwing his political ego hypocrisy out on natl tv. Paulsen is an American Hero doing his best to save the financial system in the US. For the good, bad, and ugly –there is no US of America without a sound financial system. Paulsen did all he could do; and stands for something Cramer does not understand: Putting America first. Cramer uses his show to push spending the hard earned money of people who actually paid for their homes –to pay for folks that don’t work to get gov handouts so they can stay in their home. All the homeowners I know figure let the “for sale” sign go up –preferring a neighbor that actually earns his house by having a job. Guess what Cramer: The US financial system is more important than throwing taxpayer money at people that don’t pay their bills!
 Cramer is the same guy that said he would never go in a Wal-Mart; and had the Wal-Mart ceo on his wall of shame; and 1 year later Wal-Mart is up 27% while Cramer’s fav Target is down 33% plus Wal-Mart was paying a bigger div the whole time.
 One more glaring example of hypocrisy is having one of the best ceo’s around (Anadarko ceo Jim Hackett) advise the pluses of drilling, nuclear, nat gas, … Cramer then fully supports all the dems backing efforts to not drill, not use nat gas for commercial vehicles, …. and instead waste money on corn ethanol, and other alternative fuels that are negligible in the energy picture unless supported by YOUR TAX DOLLAR. This should be a time for solutions; and praise for those that put America ahead of: Ego getting my way attitude.
