2) Obama put zero in the $1Trillion dollar spendulus of Jan, 2009 for nuclear. Why is that?
3) Why a loan guarantee, -why not just grant the money to the private companies?
4) How much is $8B? As a % of the first stimulus would be 8,000,000,000 divided by 1,000,000,000,000 = 8B divided by 1000B = .008 = .8%
So $8 Billion is less than 1% of the Obama Jan, 2009 spendulus. This will not do much for American energy needs. This is nothing more than an Obama campaign ploy. $500B to develop nuclear power would make a lot of sense, -since that is the amount America pays each year to import foreign crude oil.
Obama is lying about Battery Jobs Created
Obama spending on building batteries is a waste, -as the technology has not been developed yet to make electric cars competitive.
And if you build electric cars, -your main source to re-charge that battery is a coal generating plant.
America should start immediately a plan to fast-track 20 new nuclear plants with 20 more to follow in 4 years, and 20 more to follow in 4 more years. America should use natural gas to fuel large trucks. America should open up drilling in all areas in order to get the most production with the least environmental impact. JayR
