Our US Military should have drones that can get into cruise mode and go as high into space as we choose with the capability of shooting anything we choose -including spy balloons at 60,000 or 100,000 feet –THIS IS WHAT CHINA IS DOING -AND NOW CHINA KNOWS WE DON’T HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF DOING JACK ABOVE 60,000 FEET –except send an F-22 and fire a missile. A Space Drone could fly at any altitude and bring down any target at whatever rate America chooses –but this Obama crew has already spent $7T for corruption, charging stations, and gov control of elections -so not much left for National Security. Maybe fire Milley and Austin and put in Elon Musk to handle our Natl Security!
Our US Military should have experimented with different rounds of ammunition to see the best results to bring the balloon down at the speed we choose -get it into an altitude that we can grab it and put it down where we choose -USING A MISSILE IS THE ACT OF A FOOL -YOU DESTROY ALL OF THE PRICELESS INTEL THAT COULD HAVE BEEN OBTAINED FROM THIS BALLOON.

btw, firing a rifle at the Chinese spy balloon is useless -a bullet can’t get over a mile or 2 miles depending on the rifle -and the balloon may be 11 miles up (60,000 feet)!

American military has a history of being able to grab balloons and dragging them anywhere and putting them on the ground OR putting a few rounds into the balloon to get a slowed descent -blowing up the electronics package 8 days after entering American air space is the act of traitors.
